Magic Kingdom

The first and most famous this is the theme park most first think of when thinking of Disney Florida.

Get your tickets before you arrive and try to arrive early.  If you have arrived from Europe you may be able to take advantage of jet lag {the kids may have woken up about 4 a.m.!}  If you have your tickets before you arrive you can visit on your first day and not have to queue.

The car parks are massive and hire cars look a lot alike.  Write down where you have parked and mark your car.  The villa 'TiggerWoods' even has a special bug you can use.  If your car has a remote you could even use this to open your boot/trunk as you get close to your car when returning.

Firstly you have to choose how to arrive a the entrance.  You can take a monorail or steamboat.  For your first visit we would pick the latter -lots of photo opportunities.

Plan what you want to do before you arrive.  This will depend on the age group of your party.  The brits guide (see left) is good for this as it the TiggerWoods site - taking you through each land in turn explaining the main attractions.  Use their free Planning Guide and Planning grid if you wish.  Be ready to change your plan.  There are no rides at Main Street USA, where you first arrive, but there will be lots going on and youngsters especially are likely to be overawed and you don't want to miss them soaking up the atmosphere.

Consider booking a character meal.  We like dinner at the Crystal Palace.  You can ring to book the night before or head that way as you arrive.  It is on the way to Adventureland.
